Inventory

Stock is tracked on the components, never on the bundle itself.

Better Bundles does not keep a separate inventory count for a bundle. Each sale decrements the components (by their quantities), so a bundle is sellable whenever every one of its components is in stock.

What to set on the parent product

Turn off Track quantity on the parent variant, or leave it tracked with a large quantity. Its own count is never used to decide availability.

When a component runs out

• Online Store — the product page still shows the bundle, but checkout stops with Shopify’s standard “out of stock” message for the missing component.
• POS — fixed bundles show Out of Stock; in the mix-and-match picker the option is disabled and the staff member picks another.

Multiple locations

Availability follows the location that fulfils the order. POS uses the current location’s stock; online orders follow your normal fulfilment settings.
