Mix-and-match now on Shopify POS

Bundles that behave like real products.

Turn any product into a fixed or mix-and-match bundle in a minute. Checkout expands it into its components, inventory stays honest, and the customer pays exactly the price you set — in your store and at the counter.

What you get

Everything a bundle needs, nothing bolted on.

Better Bundles doesn’t invent a second catalog. It attaches a definition to a product you already have and lets Shopify do the selling.

Built on the product page

Open any product, pick the components, set the price in Shopify’s own pricing card. The bundle keeps its images, SEO, collections and reviews.

Honest checkout

Shopify sees the real components — correct tax, inventory and reports — while the customer sees one line at the bundle price and what they saved.

Mix-and-match on POS

“Pick any 3” with live stock per option. Staff tap a tile, choose with the customer, and the picks ride the cart line to the receipt.

Inventory stays on the components

No phantom stock counts. A bundle is sellable whenever its parts are.

Health checks that watch your catalog

Every bundle is re-checked when one of its products changes, and tells you exactly what to fix.

Headless-ready

Definitions live in metafields readable through the Storefront API, so custom storefronts get bundles without the theme block.

How it works

Three steps. No theme code.

1

Create the parent product

Give it a title, images and the bundle price. It’s a normal product, so it already has a URL, SEO and a place in your collections.

2

Pick what’s inside

Fixed components with quantities, customer choices, or both — from the Better Bundles block on the product page. Save.

3

Sell it everywhere

Add the theme block once for your Online Store and the tile once for POS. Fixed bundles need nothing at all.

The duplicate-SKU way

  • A separate “bundle” product with its own stock you have to keep in sync.
  • Fulfilment sees one mystery line and has to guess what to pack.
  • Reports credit the bundle, not the products that actually sold.
  • POS can’t sell mix-and-match at all.

With Better Bundles

  • Stock is tracked on the components, never on the bundle.
  • Orders list every component and the buyer’s picks.
  • Tax and revenue land on the real products, with the saving recorded as a discount.
  • Staff pick options with the customer on the POS screen.

FAQ

Questions merchants ask first.

Does it change my existing products?

No. Components are never edited. The only change is on the bundle’s own variant, and removing the bundle or uninstalling puts it back exactly as it was.

How does the customer pay the bundle price if checkout sees the components?

An automatic “Bundle savings” discount, created at install, covers the difference between the components’ regular prices and the bundle price. The total is always the price you set.

Can a bundle contain another bundle, a gift card or a subscription?

Not yet — those are Shopify restrictions on cart transforms. The app flags them before you save.

Do I need to edit my theme?

Add the Better Bundles block to your product template in the theme editor — no code. Fixed bundles sell without it; the block adds the contents list, the savings and the mix-and-match picker.

What about headless or custom storefronts?

Everything the block renders comes from three metafields readable through the Storefront API. See the headless guide.

Install Better Bundles

Install from the Shopify App Store. Setup runs automatically: the cart transform, the savings discount and the bundle fields are all in place before you open the app.
